Kirby Allison was perhaps always destined to be the “hanger guy.” Armed with a commendable business and finance background coupled with an innate sense of style and appreciation for the bespoke, Kirby launched The Hanger Project in 2007 after a failed quest to find the right hanger for his own first custom suit. He has since been equipping the closets of men and women with the best accessory they can own; one that never goes out of style and one that effectively preserves their precisely tailored and crafted garments.

Born from an adeptly noted hole in the marketplace and a realization that clothes spend more time hanging in the closet than on the person, Kirby Allison’s Hanger Project is a result of Kirby’s ingenuity and his collaboration with tailors, industry experts and gentlemen of style. Since its launch, The Hanger Project has successfully elevated the lowly piece of plastic or the flimsy metal option into a beautiful wardrobe staple with solid U.S.A. maple wood construction, sourced from environmentally responsible and sustainable supplies, along with a fully contoured profile and four available widths to accommodate any jacket size. The collection also includes shirt and trouser hangers, as well as the first comprehensive collection of luxury wooden women’s hangers ever created.
