I just received my first bespoke shirt from Charvet in Paris. It is close to being the most perfect shirt I have ever worn (a fitting with Chris Despos this morning revealed a few tweaks that we’ll make when I return to Paris in September). Since I hope to keep these shirts for as long as possible given how expensive they are, I chose to have my first Charvet shirt made in a French blue with French cuffs. I figured that I could get an incredible amount of use out of such a classic shirt.
One of my favorite things about this shirt is that it allows me to wear some of my cufflinks. The Golden Acorn Cufflinks that my wife gave me last year, and that we now offer on our website through bespoke commission, go particularly well with this shirt.
As my cufflink collection has now grown past just a few pairs, I recently purchased for myself one of our Daines & Hathaway Leather Cufflink Valets that accommodates up to eight pairs of cufflinks. A leather cufflink box is a great way to keep cufflinks organized and safe from scratching.
