There is no better polish than the Saphir Pommandier Cream Shoe Polish. It more than lives up to it's numerous excellent reviews. Fine shoes deserve fine shoe care products and these are the best that are to be had. I would buy the Saphir Pommadier shoe care products at twice the price. My shoes look better than they do from right out of the Paul Stuart boxes they come out of. The colors are true and consistent. The oils and pigments the best I have ever found. Fine shoes deserve to be luxuriated in Saphir Pommandier Shoe Cream.

Saphir Médaille d'Or Pommadier Cream Shoe Polish is an all-natural cream polish based on beeswax, turpentine, and shea butter with seven other nutrient waxes and twice the amount of pigment of ordinary polishes. The cream polish has a higher concentration of pigments than wax polishes and is exceptional for restoring finishes, leather nourishment, and achieving soft patinas.
In addition to the use of Saphir Renovateur, we recommend the primary use of Pommadier Cream Polish to shine your shoes. It provides deep leather nourishment and protects against the elements, while the high-concentration of pigments renew the shoe's finish and patina. We recommend applying Saphir Pate de Luxe polish after if you desire a high-gloss shine.
The quality and concentration of both soft and hard waxes used in the polish persist much longer than ordinary polishes, allowing the shine of one's shoes to be easily renewed long after application by simply rebuffing.

The formulation of Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier Cream Polish traces its origins back to the 1925 Paris International Fair, where Saphir won the "gold metal," or Medaille d'Or, for the quality of its leather care products. The hallmark of Saphir's Medaille d'Or collection is an absolute commitment to using only the highest-quality ingredients available in concentrated, time-honored formulations. Most importantly, Saphir Pommadier Cream Polish contains neither resins nor silicones, which are commonly found in other polishes but are harmful to leathers. This is why the most famous shoemakers use Saphir Medaille D'Or to finish and polish their shoes.
The formulation of Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier Cream Polish is based on a combination of solvents, hard and soft waxes, natural pigments, and mineral spirits.
You can literally smell the all-natural, pine-based turpentine solvent. First, it softens the hard waxes and gives them a creamy texture. Second, the turpentine acts as a cleaner, re-liquefying any buildup of waxes and dirt and unclogging the leather pours to preventing it from cracking. And last, the turpentine solvent helps penetrate with the shea butter and beeswax into the leather to nourish and smooth the leather. The solvent was actually used by the Egyptians in the mummification process to protect the body and act as a preservative. It does the same for your shoes.
The mineral spirit, like the turpentine, helps ensure that the hard waxes remain soft so that they can penetrate and nourish the leather.
The Medaille d'Or cream polish contains up to seven different types of waxes, both hard and soft, and shea butter. Together with the pine-based turpentine, they penetrate the leather to provide nourishment and protection against everyday elements. The cream produces a soft patina whose shine can easily be renewed longer after application by simply rebuffing.
Saphir's Pommadier Cream Polish also contains twice the amount of pigments normally found in cream polishes, and many times more than found in wax polish. This allows it to effectively conceal scuffing and renew the patina of your shoes, thus keeping them looking great over the years and decades.
About Saphir Médaille d'Or
Saphir Medaille d'Or is the highest-end collection of shoe care products available worldwide. Made in France, this exclusive line has its origins in formulations that earned Saphir the award of the GOLD MEDAL, PARIS 1925, for the quality of its leather care products. Composed of all-natural, pine-based turpentine, vegetable waxes, and mink oils, its formula has remained unchanged and has not suffered the technical progress of chemistry such as the addition of silicones, resins and other petroleum-based products which are harmful to fine leathers. The quality of Saphir's MDO collection is immediately evident when opened as one enjoys the aroma of the pine trees used in its turpentine.
This is why the most famous shoemakers use Saphir Medaille d'Or for the finishing and shining of their shoes. Saphir's products will enable you to preserve the original patina of your fine shoes, protect them against wear, and help you enjoy the special craftsmanship they were made with for many, many years to come.
If your shoes are dirty (containing black traces) or full of wax deposits from prior shines or lower-quality waxes, it is important to first clean the leather using Saphir Leather Cleaning Soap or Saphir Reno'Mat. Next, we recommend first using the Saphir Renovateur to deeply nourish the leather in order to keep soft and supple. Next, apply the Saphir Pommadier Cream Polish using either a dauber or chamois. Allow to dry and then buff off using a horsehair brush. Apply up to three coats of polish to achieve desired results and shine.
Because the Cream polish has a higher concentration of pigment than wax pastes, it is excellent at restoring the original color of shoes as they wear and, especially, scuffs. It covers really well and achieves a nice, soft polish (as opposed to the high-gloss polish possible with the Wax), and persists long after application. To renew the shine, simply rebuff with a horsehair brush or cotton chamois.
